General Advice and Information
What Are DED Sites?
DED sites are advanced ratting sites that can either be scanned down with Core Scanner Probes, or gotten through escalations of normal combat sites. They consist of several rooms separated by acceleration gates which only allow certain classes of ship to enter depending on the site. Each room contains a very high number of rats, possibly along with sentry towers, EWAR towers, boss structures, overseer rats, or any combination of the previous.
How Difficult are DED Sites to Run?
Difficulty varies on a per-site basis, but the ones found in Nullsec generally require one or more ships with a powerful active tank (Greater than 1000 EHP/s), along with decent damage output (Greater than 300 dps) and application. This makes Tech 3 Cruisers and Rattlesnakes the ships of choice to run them. Some specific fittings can be found at the bottom of this page, and any specific damage requirements can be found on a per-site basis below.
What Kind of Loot do DED Sites Drop?
This heavily varies, but all DED sites have the potential to drop one or more type of Deadspace Module and Faction Module. Some sites can also drop Pirate Faction Ship Blueprint Copies. In addition, all sites have a 100% chance of dropping a single Overseer's Personal Effects, which can be sold to CONCORD for a set price.

If you're not comfortable running DEDs, you can also sell the sites for a decent amount if ISK. Here's a video guide:

DED Running Fits
Rattlesnake
This monster of a ship was created by Kudoku for the express purpose of running every kind of Sansha DED site. It boasts an 1,150 EHP/s tank against thermal, and 2,900 EHP/s against EM; all while maintaining almost 1,000 dps with decent skills. Two of these will clear any Sansha DED inside of 30 minutes.

This fit has been modified from the above, but performs even more spectacularly with Kinetic and Explosive damage types. This version sports a 2720 EHP/s tank in Kinetic, 4,020 EHP/s in Explosive, and 2,325 EHP/s totaling all Angel damage types; and all this while still maintaining almost 1,000 DPS.

Gila
The Gila is the Rattlesnake's little brother. While it does less than what the Rattle is capable of, it is still capable of packing a punch. This Gila fit is Specialized for Sansha 6/10s. The balance of Cap Stability, DPS, and sufficient tank was required in order to make the fit do well at its job. The Gistum A-Type Medium Shield Booster is the major cap consumer in this fit, but the fit still possesses cap stability even with alpha skills. The DPS provided is more than enough to take down Skomener Effotber, and the tank is also capable of taking Effotber's abuse. Speaking of Effotber, make sure to use Mjolnir Missiles as the bonus the Gila provides isn't strong enough to counter his resists (You'd literally need over 1000 Thermal DPS). Lastly, the Missile Guidance Computer II helps to apply the HAMs better or provide better range, while the addition of a prop module makes navigation easier and allows the use of transversal in order to tank even more damage. Overall, it is a solid fit for Sansha 6/10s.

This Loki courtesy of our very own Chagrin Case sports a 915 EHP/s tank in thermal, and 1,150 EHP/s tank in EM while maintaining 775 DPS itself using T2 Heavy Assault Missiles. And it does all this using only 1 deadspace module, and for a very modest total cost of 525 million ISK.

This is the Emelio braindead Loki fit - Its more expensive, but totally foolproof - The cap battery allows you to run the hardeners/AB and Booster whilst being cap stable and nigh on unkillable with around 900dps.

Paladin
This fit is slightly overkill for running DED - 1300dps with conflag, 900 with scorch - but has the advantage of not needing to bastion for any of the rooms in sites other than in the final room of the 10/10 where you can use it to melt the tower if needed. It also runs a cloak as part of the fit so safe-ing up is v. easy. Use the Heavy neut to remove tackle. And carry mwd and smartbomb refits to help killing waves of small things.
