Abyssal Artifact Recovery: Armor Tank

Abbyssal Artifact Recovery, or AAR, is a Homefront Operations site for five players that involves clearing 12 asteroids in an asteroid field within a time limit. As the site progresses, new fields will spawn, forming a new round, and the limit will continuously decrease. When an asteroid is depleted, a Triglavian Cache can spawn, which must be destroyed before it can be looted. Each time a field is cleared, a payout will be awarded to all members of the fleet present on the field. If the field is not cleared by the end of the time limit, the site will end. During the site, a Warp Disruption field will be present, which can only be deactivated when the asteroids are cleared or when the site has ended. Each round, new Triglavian, Sleepers, and Rogue Drones will spawn that will increasingly deal more damage. There are 9 rounds total per site, totaling 78 million ISK per pilot per site before taxes.

Forming

In the ping and after joining the fleet, you will see the initial location that the fleet will depart from. Traveling to this system beforehand is recommended to save time. Once the fleet members have been accounted for, the FC will sort out the roles within the fleet and, if needed, hand out ships. Please use our doctrine ships and act according to your roles, or inform the FC if any change is necessary on your end. Failure to follow FC instructions may result in losing your ship and other consequences.

The standard composition includes 3 Mining Vexors and 2 Augorors as Logistics. Additional tasks or information will be given by the FC.

Travelling

The FC will post a destination system in fleet chat that everyone should free-burn to unless otherwise stated by the FC. Once you arrive, hold for further instructions. If multiple sites are in the system, the FC will designate a site ID, which you can then warp to using your Probe Scanner window. The FC can also fleet-warp you to the site themselves.

Once everyone is on the acceleration gate, align down the gate (move in parallel to and towards the direction the gate is pointing at). Once the FC sees that everyone is aligned, they will call for 'Slide', which stands for taking the acceleration gate.

Setting up

Once the acceleration gate gets activated, you will see a timer on the overview. This 90s timer stands for the time until asteroids start spawning. During this time, each pilot needs to get into their positions and deploy their MTU or mobile depot.

Vexors

Vexor pilots will start burning to the assigned location in the briefing. Once they believe they are, hold; DO NOT deploy the Mobile Depots. Only once the first wave of asteroids has spawned, and you have verified that they are all within range of your mining lasers. Only then should you deploy your mobile depot. If not, adjust your position until you are. The asteroids always spawn quite a bit lower than the warp in point, so remember to use that third axis and burn a bit downward to get closer to all asteroids if you are sitting on the edge.

Once you are in a good position and you have deployed your mobile depot, orbit it at 500m and lock up all asteroids. Put one mining laser on each of the asteroids.

Logi

Logistics ships will orbit the central beacon in the site at 500m. This is so they are in a central position to apply reps to anyone that needs them.

Each pilot puts the cap transmitter on the other logi pilot and also puts one medium repairer on the other pilot. This rep will ALWAYS stay on the other logi pilot. The rats will often aggress multiple ships at once, and damage on the other logi pilot might go unnoticed by you until it's too late.

The pilot that is responsible for deploying the MTU deploys it once they are in position.
