Gas sites can be divided into two broad categories, WH gas and K-space (regular space) gas sites. WH Gas is used in the creation of T3 Cruisers and destroyers, and is found only in WHs. K-space gas sites are used in the creation of combat boosters aka. drugs. In general, WH gas is more valuable than K-space gas, but the process of harvesting the gas is very similar. For the purposes of this guide, it will be assumed that you are harvesting K-space gas in Catch, Lime Cytoserocin.

The equipment required to huff gas is extremely cheap, with a fit venture currently costing roughly 12 million isk. This will easily be made up in one load of gas huffing, making huffing an extremely good return on investment. This makes it ideal for newer players who cannot afford more expensive ratting or mining setups to be able to make the isk they need to enjoy other aspects of the game.

The gas harvesting skillbook represents a significant initial cost, with the skillbook going for roughly 24 million isk. The dojo does have this but requires a 24 million isk donation. Finally, the loss of ventures should be expected as you go about your WH huffing experience. They are cheap, so don't get too attached!

Once you have found a gas site that you want to huff, grab your venture and get ready to go!

WH gas huffing has some unusual risks. Local doesn't exist, so it is hard to tell when someone is hunting you. Finally, the WH site will spawn rats at some point after 12 minutes. These rats are EXTREMELY mean, and will quickly kill your venture if you are not paying attention. The idea is to warp in, huff as much gas as possible, and then leave as the rats show up. If you know how to clear sleeper rats, you can clear the rats and return to finish huffing. If you don't (or can't) you can then carry on to the next gas site!

The venture fit should be cheap and effective. A good starting point is:

This fit has everything that you need to scan and huff gas, all in one nice, cheap little package!

So you have found yourself a nice WH gas site and you are sitting ready to go in your venture. There are 2 things you need to do.

1. DO NOT WARP YOUR VENTURE TO AN ORDINARY PERIMETER RESERVOIR
   1. It has turrets that instantly alpha your venture so huffing in it is extremely dangerous unless you have cleared the turrets.
2. Get a timer pulled up. As you hit warp, start the timer. You have 12 minutes.
3. Light your MWD, start burning towards a cloud. As you draw into range, target it.
4. Once you get close to the cloud, start huffing. Manually pilot your venture into the cloud and stop in the center (as seen in here ).
   1. The cloud will decloak enemies, and give you a chance to escape. Get in the cloud!
5. As the clock ticks towards 12 minutes, select a celestial and prepare to warp out.
6. Once the rats spawn GTFO!

This is the easiest site for a newbie to get into and huff. Follow the following steps to get into a Duo Nebula and start huffing today. The clouds do 1000 EM and 1000 thermal, you should not do the same cloud with another venture.

1. Go to https://afowl.si/deepsafe/ and login
2. Click Search All systems
3. On the far right switch to Catch Region
4. In the middle switch to Gas Sites
5. Find the signature name of a Duo Nebula in a Brave system
6. Add a probe launcher and probes to your venture fit
7. Go to the system with the Duo Nebula
8. Tether on a structure and scan down the correct Signature ID from deepsafe.
9. Warp to the gas site and bookmark it (recover probes)
10. Pick one of the two Lime Cytoserocin in the Misc or mining tabs of the overview and warp to it.
11. Turn on EM hardener.
12. Select both gas harvesters at once and then target the gas cloud.
13. Mine until you're full.
