===== How to Rat in a Gila =====

The Gila is more expensive, less tanky, and insures worse than the Dominix. However it makes up for this with the ability to field cheap and extremely difficult to kill drones, and more importantly the ability to run both Havens and Sanctums.
+
The Gila is a Pirate Faction Cruiser with a set of bonuses that make it uniquely suited for ratting. Instead of the standard 5 heavy drone loadout, the Gila sports 2 medium drones, each with an enormous damage and hitpoint bonus. This makes it much easier to destroy smaller rats and allows the drones to move more quickly between targets. The Gila also has a solid passive shield tank, allowing it to take on harder sites and resist attempted ganks more than most ratting ships.

You can make around 15-20 million isk/tick (every 20 minutes) using this fit, assuming a 100% Bounty Risk Modifier.
The Gila is able to fairly easily run sites in Blood Raider space. The fit is Passive-Regen tanked, meaning it has a very high rate of natural shield regeneration that allows it to tank a site while orbiting with an afterburner.
-
+
-
The Gila is unfortunately only able to run sites in Impass due to the damage dealt by the rats in Catch. While a proper fit can technically run Forsaken Hubs and Rally Points in Catch, the required configuration offers no advantages over the dominix.

<fc #ff0000>Before flying the below fit, please ensure you are cap stable!</fc>

The main difference between the <tooltip title="Rapid Light Missile Launcher">RLML</tooltip> and <tooltip title="Heavy Missile Launcher">HML</tooltip> fits is the range you run sites at. RLML's only have a very short range requiring you to have a tight orbit around the rats' spawn point to use them. HML's on the other hand allow you to stay farther away outside of rat EWAR range, but at the cost of pushing the edge of your drone control range and more delay in recalling drones when they come under attack.

===== How to Run Sites =====

==== How to Run Sites ====
-
The Gila is unique among subcaps in its ability to run both Havens and Sanctums safely and effectively, along with lower level sites like Forsaken Hubs and Forsaken Rally Points.
+
<well>
-
<fc #ff0000>Despite this you still want to avoid sites with Forlorn or Hidden in the name, as their spawns can still overwhelm you.</fc>

==== Sanctums ====

<well>

Sanctums need a bit of special attention due to their unique spawning mechanics, and therefor requires pilots to be active throughout the site. However just the ability to run these sites in the first place is incredibly valuable for a subcap.

=== Running Each Site ===

- Warp to the site at zero.

- Find an object around the center of where the rats are spawning, and orbit it at 15 km (RLML) / 40 km (HML).
-
- Activate AB and orbit the center of the initial ring spawn at 15 km.
+
- Drop Infiltrator II's and aggress a rat.
-
- For each spawn repeat this for the ring the ships spawned on.

- Drop drones and aggress a rat.

- Using rapid lights to kill frigates will moderately improve your ticks.
With all other sites, including Havens and Forsaken Hubs, you can follow the same process as you have up until this point and run sites in a semi-AFK manner. Bear in mind though as with Sanctums using rapid lights to kill frigates will decently improve your payouts.

===== If You Get Tackled =====

Some sites require special attention due to a particularly nasty wave or unusual mechanics.
"Light" resistance is up to 3 of any frigate class, 2 of any destroyer class, or 1 T1 Cruiser. \\ \\
