The Brave Dojo Vexor Newbro Edition

Are you poor?

Getting too many ships blown up?

Having trouble paying for all that awesome content in BNI?

Let’s be fair – to have fun, you need ISK. You need to buy a ship before you can have it blown up! So how do we make ISK you ask? Tried some things, but you don't really know how to make some space money? Well, this is a problem we have all ran into when we were new. Ratting for instance is a good source of income, but when you have no idea how to do it, where do you start? What ship do you fly? How do you pay for it?!

Enter Dojo! Now introducing the Dojo Vexor Newbro Edition (VNE) initiative. To get our Newbro’s setup with ISK in their wallet we have shipped Newbro friendly Vexors across space to various ratting areas. No more wondering what will or will not work, no more wondering how to get the ship to the right spot. We have done it all for you!!

You can make between 6-8 million isk/tick (every 20 minutes) using this fit, before bounty modifiers and the ESS cut.

The Impass version uses Minmatar drones and a different resist in the low slot.

These badboys can easily do low level anoms, belts and all sorts of madness to make you stone cold cash-ISK. With decent drone skills you can make up to 10 million every 20 minutes in this little ship! As you can see, the skills needed to fly these beasts can be trained in only a week and a half. And remember – every point of SP that goes into this ship helps in skilling towards other ratting ships to make even more money!

On top of that, with every rat you kill, BNI also gets richer, which helps us with [insert random propaganda here]. This is why we want YOU to fly these things! We want YOU to make ISK, and then we want YOU to spend it all unwisely and get it all blown up, because after all, we are Brave!

ALPHA As an alpha you may not be able to train Fuel Conservation, but you can still fly the Vexor. You just need to be careful with how much you use your armor repairer. Remember that you can always interrupt your ratting to return to station, repair, and then come back. (Don't forget to bookmark before warping away!)

  1. Be poor
  2. Be new
  3. Be brave
  4. Have trained the skillplan
  5. Use the force this form

Available Locations

Basically if you’re broke, new and brave you can apply. As soon as you've trained the entire skillplan you can get one. You get one - and only one - for free. You need to be able to run the afterburner full time, or the ship will blow up. When we hand the ship to you, we will explain to you how to use it and how not to lose it. LISTEN TO THIS PERSON. Especially the not losing part seems to be hard for a lot of people. Nullsec is a dangerous place, the fact that you don't want to fight while ratting doesn't change that.

If the Dojo has enough spare ones lying around, you can buy another one for Jita price from us. This means you’ll get it cheaper than in P-ZMZV. And you’ll get it in an area where you can make some money – saves you the risk of having to ship it.

We’ll probably also be cross that you didn’t listen to the part on how not to lose the Vexor and perhaps make you feel silly. But in the end Dojo is Dojo, and if you’re bad we’ll help you be less bad and more brave! Please note that we don’t have an endless supply of these badboys, so if we’re low the “first free one” has priority.

As stated, handing out every Vexor Newbro Edition comes with a mini-masterclass on how to use them. This includes how to belt-rat, how to anom-rat, and most importantly, how not to lose the thing to angry Russians.

Ratting against Blood Raiders you also need to be aware of their Energy Neutralizers:

Blood Raider Ratting

How to anom and beltrat

Make sure to set your drones for aggressive and for focus fire first. Picture on how that's done:

518vpye.jpg

Then warp to an anom @ 70km or a belt @ 50. Before the rats redbox you (redbox is 1337 spacetalk for shoot), deploy your drones. Next you need to get speed - remember, the Vexor is speed tanked first, and armor tanked second. Find an object (First rat, or first wreck after you kill one) in space that is close to the rats and orbit that object at 40 or 50 km AND TURN YOUR 100mn AFTERBURNER ON. Remember, no speed means your ship will go boom, I'm not even kidding.

Recommended Anoms: Forsaken Rally Points have battleship rats, and pretty decent isk. Easy small spawns and plenty of debris that you can orbit. Stick to this and save / train for a more expensive ship before moving on.

It is recommended to not run forlorn anomalies since they have terrible rat waves.

Basically this is all you do. Drones are set for aggressive, so they will attack anyone within drone range that attacks you. By doing this the aggro will (almost) never switch to your drones. I have found that manually targeting rats makes them actually attack your drones sometimes. Because of that I prefer the drop, orbit and roll approach. Another advantage of this technique is you don't have to do anything which is excellent for us lazy space-pilots.

You should utilize a mix of Local and your D-Scan to make sure you're off grid before something lands to tackle you.

Here is an easy checklist:

  1. Turn off the AB.
  2. Align to a citadel.
  3. Bookmark the site (so you can return for your MTU or drones later).
  4. Pull your drones.
  5. Warp to the citadel.

If a neut lands between steps 2-4, warp off.

Have a Separate Window For Local and Make it Big Enough to See Everyone!

When ratting, Always, 24/7 Keep an Eye on Local at All Times! If anything is in system, or comes into system that does not have a green or blue icon, warp to the safe citadel. If you can not easily identify when a new player comes into system, due to there being too many people in local chat, find a quieter system.

When an enemy enters the system, Turn Off the 100mn AB and align to the citadel. Going at such a speed makes aligning take a very long time.

knmfotk.jpg

Using the D-Scan window you can see a list of every uncloaked ship within 14.3 AU of you. Running a quick scan every minute or two greatly increases your chances of knowing when an enemy is coming.

If you see a ship that looks suspicious, decrease the D-Scan range to 0.1 AU. If the ship shows up in that range, Turn Off the 100mn AB and align to the citadel. Going at such a speed makes aligning take a very long time.
