In June of 2025, an IT help request turned up an issue which can cause Mumble to hang when a PC is connected to certain analog input devices. Mumble is aware of the issue and a permanent fix is in the works, but the code hasn't yet been updated. This affects all versions of Mumble including snapshots as of this post's last update.
Status: Fix Available
First Identified: June 2nd, 2025
Last Update: June 2nd, 2025
This issue is caused by Mumble using up its system resources when attempting to interact with certain Analog Input Devices.
If you have a Joystick, Steering Wheel, Rudder Pedals, Throttle Console, or similar device connected to your PC, UNPLUG it before starting Mumble to allow the application to function normally.
