**Ratting in our staging systems can be dangerous, and is highly discouraged!** ===== How to Rat in a Gila ===== The Gila is a Pirate Faction Cruiser with a set of bonuses that make it uniquely suited for ratting. Instead of the standard 5 heavy drone loadout, the Gila sports 2 medium drones, each with an enormous damage and hitpoint bonus. This makes it much easier to destroy smaller rats and allows the drones to move more quickly between targets. The Gila also has a solid passive shield tank, allowing it to take on harder sites and resist attempted ganks more than most ratting ships. You can make around 15-20 million isk/tick (every 20 minutes) using this fit, assuming a 100% Bounty Risk Modifier. INLINETOC 3-4 **Gila** \\ Guristas Faction Cruiser ==== The Ratting Progression Chain ==== **The Vexor Newbro Edition** \\ Gallente T1 Cruiser \\ **The Ratting Myrmidon** \\ Gallente T1 Battlecruiser \\ **The Ratting Gila** \\ Guristas Faction Cruiser \\ **The Isktar** \\ Gallente Heavy Assault Cruiser \\ **Ratting Marauders** \\ Caldari / Gallente Marauders \\ **Ratting Carriers** \\ Minmatar Carrier \\ **Ratting Supers** \\ Minmatar Supercarrier \\ ==== Fittings ==== The Gila is able to fairly easily run sites in Querious. The fit is Passive-Regen tanked, meaning it has a very high rate of natural shield regeneration that allows it to tank a site while orbiting with an afterburner. The main difference between the RLML and HML fits is the range you run sites at. RLML's only have a very short range requiring you to have a tight orbit around the rats' spawn point to use them. HML's on the other hand allow you to stay farther away outside of rat EWAR range, but at the cost of pushing the edge of your drone control range and more delay in recalling drones when they come under attack. **This Fit Requires Capacitor Stability!** [Gila, Ratting Gila - Querious RLML] Drone Damage Amplifier II Drone Damage Amplifier II Drone Damage Amplifier II 10MN Afterburner II EM Shield Hardener II Multispectrum Shield Hardener II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Rapid Light Missile Launcher II Rapid Light Missile Launcher II Rapid Light Missile Launcher II Rapid Light Missile Launcher II Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Hammerhead II x2 Hornet EC-300 x4 Infiltrator II x6 Inferno Fury Light Missile x5000 **This Fit Requires Capacitor Stability!** [Gila, Ratting Gila - Querious HML] Drone Damage Amplifier II Drone Damage Amplifier II Drone Damage Amplifier II 10MN Afterburner II EM Shield Hardener II Multispectrum Shield Hardener II Large Azeotropic Restrained Shield Extender Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Hammerhead II x2 Hornet EC-300 x4 Infiltrator II x6 Inferno Heavy Missile x5000 ==== How to Run Sites ==== === If You're New to Ratting === **Give the Introduction to Ratting page a read to avoid common mistakes and get some background knowledge.** === Running Each Site === **Your Shield Hardeners and Afterburner should always be active while you're in a site.** - Warp to the site at 0 km (RLML) / 50 km (HML). - Find an object around the center of where the rats are spawning, and orbit it at 15 km (RLML) / 40 km (HML). - Drop Infiltrator II's and aggress a rat. - If your drones come under attack, recall them, fire a few missile volleys into whatever was shooting them, then re-launch and re-aggress them. **Kill Order: Frigates -> Destroyers -> Cruisers -> Battlecruisers -> Battleships** === Site-Specific Information === Some sites require special attention due to a particularly nasty wave or unusual mechanics. == Havens (Stargate Variant) == * **The second last wave of this site spawns 3 - 4 Energy Neutralizing Cruisers.** You must immediately focus all damage on them to keep your tank from breaking, and may need to warp off if it does. They will neut you out, so don't forget to re-activate your modules after they're dead. * **The final wave of this site may spawn NPC Capitals.** If an NPC Capital appears you must warp off immediately to avoid being volleyed. ==== Additional Information ==== === Runnable Sites === The sites in this list have been tested and determined to be runnable using the above fit(s). It is not necessarily comprehensive, and some sites may require special attention which will be noted in the section above. * Blood Raider Havens (Stargate Variant) * Blood Raider Forsaken Hubs * Blood Raider Hubs * Blood Raider Forsaken Rally Points ==== If You Get Tackled ==== === For Light Resistance === "Light" resistance is up to 3 of any frigate class, 2 of any destroyer class, or 1 T1 Cruiser. - Begin aligning to a citadel. - Immediately switch all damage including missiles to the ship tackling you. - If the point drops or the enemy ship dies, warp off. === For Heavy Resistance === Anything that's stronger than "Light" resistance is "Heavy" resistance. - Begin aligning to a citadel. - Immediately switch all damage including missiles to the weakest tackle ship on field. - Start screaming on comms and in fleet for support.
