===== Mumble Hangs After Launch =====

In June of 2025, an IT help request turned up an issue which can cause Mumble to hang when a PC is connected to certain analog input devices. Mumble is aware of the issue and a permanent fix is in the works, but the code hasn't yet been updated. This affects all versions of Mumble including snapshots as of this post's last update.

==== Temporary Fix ====

This issue is caused by Mumble using up its system resources when attempting to interact with certain Analog Input Devices. 

**If you have a <text type="warning">Joystick</text>, <text type="warning">Steering Wheel</text>, <text type="warning">Rudder Pedals</text>, <text type="warning">Throttle Console</text>, or <text type="warning">similar device</text> connected to your PC, UNPLUG it before starting Mumble to allow the application to function normally.**
